About Me

Hi, I'm Brodie.
My name is Brodie Kushner, and it's nice to meet you! I graduated from The Hun School this year, and I will continue my studies at Princeton University this fall, where I have already taken four semesters' worth of math as part of a high school program.
I've always loved math's intricacies and applications to various fields of study — including music, languages, and sports statistics. I enjoy working with other people who have a passion for math and a desire to improve. I offer an approach to students that blends work with fun, intuition with rigor, and rules with creativity!
My Approach
My teaching style is built on four core pillars:
- Conceptual Clarity: Math isn't about memorizing steps or formulas — it's about understanding why things work. By focusing on fundamental concepts, I help students build strong mathematical intuition that makes even the most complex problems feel natural.
- Personalized Flexibility: Every student learns differently, and lessons should adapt to you, not the other way around. Whether we need to pause to rebuild a foundation or speed up to tackle advanced material, every session is customized in real-time.
- Genuine Connection: I treat every student as a peer. Learning math can be intimidating, but I strive to build a collaborative, encouraging environment where it's completely safe to make mistakes and ask questions.
- Vigorous and Joyful Learning: Math is hard, but conquering it is incredibly rewarding. I bring energy and enthusiasm to every session to show students that challenging yourself can be a deeply satisfying and genuinely fun experience. Click here to learn more!
